About Us

Our Mission: People helping people strengthen the Dunn County community by providing food, shelter, and support.

Our Vision: Stepping Stones seeks to foster a community that prevents hunger, homelessness, and isolation throughout Dunn County.

Our Impact

  • 5,194 people served annually through our Food Pantry Program. This is 1 in 9 households in Dunn County.
  • 19,291 SAM Bags packed and distributed during the 2023-2024 school year.
  • 816,000 pounds of food distributed from the food pantry.
  • 10,600 nights of shelter provided including stays at our three shelters, hotels, and motels.

  • Food Pantry Program - Main pantry distributions, rural pop-up pantries, SAM weekend kids' meals, Farmers Feed Dunn County, and Whole Community Foods programs
  • Emergency Shelter - Cairn House Shelter, five shelter apartments, life skills classes, case management, housing and benefits application assistance, and referrals to other services
  • Community Connections Program - Food deliveries and wellness checks, homelessness prevention program, direct assistance, and referrals and collaboration with partner agencies
